How does the system work?
The principle of the system involves connecting the power module in between the cars ECU and the injection system using identical connectors to those used by the car manufacturer. The information sent to the fuel injection system is controlled by the ECU (engine brain) and varies due to conditions such as load factors and engine speed etc. The tuning box precisely intercepts, analyses, and alters the signals between the ECU and injection system, calculating the most efficient amount of fuel depending on the driving requirements.The unit works in total harmony with the engine which allows a superior combustion cycle and in turn provides much better performance. A refined injection map leads to smoother running, faster 0-60 and safer overtaking.
This horse power and torque upgrade also equates to better mpg. This is because the engine pulls much easier and results in less gear changes and throttle usage for the same conditions.

Tuning Box versus ECU Remapping , Which is better?
Not only do the tuning boxes give better overall performance than remapping, they are easily installed, easily removed, easily adjusted*, transferable* and do not require permanent removal of your engines original ECU settings. This also means the box can not be detected or deleted during dealer servicing, plus unlike the remap there will be no warranty issues using the tuning box as it is easily removed. Most remaps respond at near full throttle conditions were as our system will respond even on part throttle load, this gives much better fuel economy results - on average an 8-10% MPG fuel saving.
*Most of our units are adjustable depending on the model, for the few models that are fixed they are pre-set for optimal power and economy .*The tuning box itself is transferable on most vehicles, you may possibly need a different plug in cable which we can supply for a small fee.
